
Glued up the top panel today. Used the biscuit joiner to put in biscuits to align the boards, then edge glued three at a time...center section, then right and left sections. Tomorrow I'll trim the sections and glue the 3 sections together. This will form the top panel.
Also glued the inside facings on the legs and test assembled the cross frame. The cross frame came apart at the glue joints when I pulled it out of the legs. The tenons were too tight a fit into the mortises on one leg. Not a long term issue. I can reglue the frame when I cut and install the backing board.
Speaking of wood...Looks good so far.
